The Foundation for Contemporary Arts (FCA) — a non-profit organization founded by the artists John Cage (1912-1992) and Jasper Johns — announced the 21 recipients of the 2023 Grants to Artists awards, which comprise $45,000 unrestricted grants to individual artists. Our professor, friend, and colleague Simone White has won one of these awards—in particular, the Dorothea Tanning Award.
