Eight years on, regulars at the Kelly Writers House still recall Amanda Shulman's Heled Travel & Research Grant presentation with amazement. And for good reason--the writer and chef made pasta by hand while sharing stories from her summer spent researching truffle hunting in Italy. These days, Shulman is still multitasking, earning national acclaim with Her Place Supper Club, where she’s also bending stubborn industry standards around life balance and labor compensation.
