Associate Director for Recruitment for the Creative Writing Program Jamie-Lee Josselyn has been honored with Penn's highest staff award.
Director of the Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing Al Filreis shares these words about Jamie-Lee: "We all know how richly deserved this award is for our dear colleague. Her work with students—those in her class, hundreds who meet her each year during her efforts to recruit talented writers as applicants for admission to Penn, her many devoted advisees, not to mention former students too—is legend: everyone with whom she works palpably feels her belief that mentoring is always and ever personal, that even at a large university guidance and teaching and support need not be impersonal."
