Harold Batista is an independent director and screenwriter. He formerly lived and worked as an artist and media producer in New York City, where he began his event streaming company Delphinidae Appearances. Harold received a full tuition scholarship to study fine arts at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and was twice invited to study at the Whitney Museum’s Independent Study Program, once in studio practice and once in critical studies. His work has been shown at the Anthology Film Archives, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., among other venues. He was a Future Faculty Fellow at Temple University with a concentration in directing and is the two-time recipient of the department’s Minnie & Ben Lazaroff Award for exceptional work and great promise in screenwriting. He recently completed his first short film, Baby Brother and is currently in post production on his second short, Vamos, Gustavo and in development of his third short Once, Upon Some Stars with screenwriter Zachary Vickers
